JUST SOME FUN IN IRELAND!

OKAY I JUST WANTED TO POST THESE TO PHOTOS FROM THE TRIP.

THIS ONE CRACKS ME UP OF THE COW. SUNDAY MORNING ROB AND I TOOK A WALK UP TO THE TOP OF THE HILL TO SEE THE VIEW OF THE COUNTRYSIDE. TO GET UP YOU HAVE TO PASS THROUGH THE FIELD OF COWS AND AVOID GETTING CHASED BY THE BULL. EVERYTIME WE WALKED BY THE COWS THEY WOULD JUST SIT AND STARE AT YOU. HA! TRY TO TOUCH THEM AND THEY RUN AWAY.

ROB AT HIS FINEST ON THE TOP OF THE HILL OVER LOOKING THE COUNRTYSIDE. HE THINKS HE IS SO DEEP INTO THOUGHT!

WARRENPOINT, IRELAND......

Well Rob and I are back from a very interesting and exciting wedding weekend in Warrenpoint, Ireland!

On Thursday we flew out into Dublin.....took a bus to the train station and took the train about an hour north into Newry. We got off and Aveen and Gaz picked us up. We drove "down the road" ...which was really 45 minutes......through the Irish countryside. It was amazing...so much land, fresh clean air and such hospitality. Since there were no hotels very close by Aveen put us up at her brothers house. Thank you Jared and Kathy for taking us in and showing us the Irish ways.

We had such a blast....the families were so nice! What was funny to both Rob and I was that everything was "down the road" or "up the lane". What that ment was anywhere between 5 to 20 miles away. Ha! thats not down the road. Where we stayed the view was amazing and cows everywhere.

Well anyways there were some interesting tradtions which i will have to post video later of!

One last thing the day was sunny and about 65! And then of course when we went to take pictures it had to rain....it seems like the theme of this year rain and umbrella photos. Oh well!

Below are some shots from Aveen and Gareth (aka Gaz) day!

And as always don't forget to watch the SLIDESHOW HERE! Just a warning it has about 137 shots for I showed this show the day afterthe wedding at a barbacue they had.

A DAY IN MYSTIC IN JUNE!

I AM REALLY ON CLOUD NINE ABOUT THIS WEDDING!

On June 9th Courtney and Mike got married in Mystic. The reception was at the Seamens Inn and by having your reception there they let you go into Mystic Seaport for photos! I was in heaven for photo land! The day rained on and off and let up for exactly 1 hour for me to do photos of the bride and groom. Talk about luck! There are so many good photos I had to make a long slideshow sorry :(.

One thing that I do have to say is this wedding was international. Mike is from Australia and his guest were from as far as Japan..I hope I am not wrong about that. There was so much engery that day that it was a blast to work with everyone.

Below are a couple of my favorites and be sure to click here for the slideshow!

Tara & Dave

Okay so I know I have been slow on the blogging but I am trying real hard to catch up. I promise! So many weddings this past month but that is not an excuse shame on me! With the kitchen redo going on, my Mom turning 60 and trying to spend time getting the new website done I have lacked on the blogging. But now that Megan is working with me......MY NEW OFFICE MANAGER....things will be better!

So anyhow to the title of this blog. Tara & Dave got married June 3rd at the Branford House at Avery Point. I love it here! the view is spectacular and the house is so intimate. Not to mention the wood work in there is amazing!

The sky that day looked like it was going to rain but held off until later in the night. But it did not matter cause Tara had bought water boots and an umbrella so they could take photos outside either way!

And guess what....when it started raining Tara comes to me and says can we go out in the rain and they are my favorite photos!

To see Tara and Dave's day and more photos of course click here for the slideshow!

You Did it Marla & Jared!

Last night Marla and Jared got MARRIED!

A couple of weeks ago we went down to the shore and did their engagements and we had so much fun! Marla was up for anything as long as she looked good! By the end of the shoot Jared was like...Hey That was Fun! So I knew when the wedding day came it would be a blast!

So the day had finally come and it looked like a beautiful day! Windy, cool and sunny! It was perfect! I was even more excited cause the reception was at the POND House in Elizabeth Park, West Hartford. This time of the year the rose garden is in full bloom and stunning.

Okay so I got off track this is how the day went...sunny awesome then about 4:15pm rain.....stopped at the end of the ceremony....did groups...went to elizabeth park sunny but raining right after bridal party photos....stopped then rained again! It was wacky.

But Marla and Jared were such good sports doing photos in the wet grass ,in the rain with an umbrella and without!

Thanks guys for being such good sports!

Oh BTW the reception rocked and everyone was dancing the night away!

Well here is one of my favorites..I do not do the dip very often but this was a perfect place and the perfect dip I have to say!
You guys ROCKED!

Yeah Alicia & Scott have tied the knot!

on May 25th I had the pleasure of photographing Alicia & Scott's wedding. They are such a cute couple! They have so much love for each other and you can really see it in their eyes. Alicia did an awsome job with the flowers...fuscia pink with black bridesmaid dresses HOT! They really popped!

The reception was at the The Pavilion on Crystal Lake . It is such a beautiful view there of the lake and a cute spot for pictures.

Below are a few of my favorites and at the end is the slide show!

Jen & Kevin....at last its up!

MAY 18th is the big day which jen and kevin tied the knot. Itwas such a privilege for me to be able to photograph the wedding. I have know kevin since maybe junior high and to be a part of his special day it was awesome!

The day went off with out a hitch...despite the rain in the early part of the day and the misty rain when we went for photos everything else was spectacular. The reception was at Watersedge in Westbrook and Shark Entertainment did a faboulus job with the party music.

A big thanks to Krystal for coming along and helping capture the day girl you rock.

Below are a couple of favorites from the day!

These were taken at City Hall in Hartford..Love that place for indoor photos!

This one was by the fabulous Krystal Love the angle Thanks Krystal again!

BIG CHANGES TO COME!

Well most of you have seen my website and it's time to say goodbye to it. The current site has been good to me for the past 2 years but now it's time for change. As Nikki Nicole Photography is growing so is the look and feel.

In the next couple of weeks I will be working on a new site and a new look. I will let everyone know closer to the launch of the site exactly when it will be. With this change the 2008 prices will be posted. So for all you 2008 brides that have been thinking of booking now is the time to still get 2007 prices!

Here's a sneek peek of an image that may be used on the new site! on of my fellow photographers took it for me at the PUG shootout! Thanks!

There seems to be a theme

So as I am posting lots of new photos there seems to be a beach theme today! This engagement shoot was for Marla and Jared. Their wedding is next friday at the Pond House in Elizabeth park. Love that little place it has so much character!

An evening on Fairfield Beach

When Meghan and Chris called me for their engagements i asked them what is an important spot to the 2 of them. Meghan mentioned the fairfield beach. They 2 of them met at fairfield college so they have spent many days at this beach on the private section of the beach. So I went down at my favorite time of the day about 6pm to catch the sunset light which is always gorgeous at the shore. As usual by the end of the shoot I was wet head to toe for I decided to lay in the wet sand and the tide decided to come in. But it was worth it for the shots I got!

Just playing around!

Val and Joe had chosen Hubbard Park in Meriden as their choice for their engagements. We were walking around when I ran into the playground. I love playgrounds! The slides, swings, sand what else could you ask for! I was having so much fun running around and laying down in the sand to get that shot! Val and Joe are getting married this fall and I also have the privilege of doing her sister Marci wedding next year. I am so excited to be a part of their family now! Thanks girls!
