So on Sept 2nd my long time friend of 17 years Karen got hitched to Chris! I can't believe it! I can remember when we were 22 and we made a fun bet of who would get married first. I bet Karen she would for 50 bucks! Guess what I WON!!!!!!!

The day went by so fast I could not believe it. Her ceremony and reception was all at the Cascade in Hamden. I love the staff there! They are so helpful!

Well below are a bunch of photos I shot but I was not the photographer for I was a bridesmaid...funny thought I have no photos of me! Reflection by Kari was the photographer and I can't wait to see her shots!

So I am almost caught up on the blogging........

Meghan and Chris were hitched on August 11 at The Farmington Club. Well the reception was there. Once again perfect weather ......it was actually only about 80 that day and not humid. It has been a strange summer it has been either really hot or really cool. Can i say global warming???


Anyways off track for a minute.....M + C had an awsome wedding party they were definatly all filled with spunk and we had such a great time. The Power Station rocked the dance floor! And everyine had a blast!

Mexican + Greek = FUN!

On July 14th Erika & Steve tied the knot!

Erika is Mexican and Steve is Greek which equaled into a fun fun fun reception!!!! The DJ was awsome and kept alternating the different nationality music. They totally rocked the house...now i wish I had gotten their names. The DJ was from Brooklyn, NY.

Anyhow the reception took place at Great River Golf Club in Milford. It was my first time shooting a wedding there and the grounds were spectacular. The time of day was perfect lighting. Just how the sunsets there the light is amazing.

Where were you on lucky 070707?

That Saturday on July was the most popular wedding day of the year and I was lucky enough to be a part of Michele and Ken's wedding day!

I just wanted to share a little note that M + K recently sent me....

On another note about their day.............

It was perfect...not rain and no humidity! M + K had their wedding take place at The Mystic Arts Center in downtown Mystic. The center is a local art gallery right on water. It is so great for you have local artists work on the gallery walls.

M + K had decided to see each other before their cermony which put both of them at ease and I was able to get some great shots all around the downtown area!. I was luck to have Caroline with me that day helping me out. Together we got some intense shots and I had such a blast. Thank You Caroline!

YEAH TO THE CAETANO'S!

On June 30th Kerri and Danny tied the knot and had an awsome reception at the fabulous Lake of Isles....by Foxwood Casino. This facility is nothing short of spectacular. The food melts in your mouth, the staff is so helping and I love their cocktail hour out on the deck!

I have to say Kerri looked stunning that day...okay and Danny too!

I will say that these photos just speak for themselves! Just take a look for yourself!

06.23.07 = BEAUTIFUL DAY!

So the day after Marla and Jareds wedding I had Courtney and Matt's wedding. The ceremony and reception was at the Farmington Club. Always look forward to working there they are so accomdating.

I was holding my breathe all week for the ceremony was outside but no problem the weather was amazing about 75 that day. Everything was perfect. Of couse Keith Allen rocked the house as he usually does.


I laugh everytime i see these photos of Matt. Who says its the bride's day! Matt looked fabulous! And he is Hamming it up!



Usually I do not photograph in the gazebos but C + M asked me to so I decide to take a different approach inside




This has to be my favorite detail shot of the season so far for flowers. I really love the way the stripes run with the flowers

M + J = AMAZING

So back in June I had posted a quick blip about Marla and Jared...hence M + J. thee wedding was the weekend of Rose Weekend at Elizabeth Park in West Hartford. And lucky me they had there reception at the Pond House right in the park. That ment we had the most awsome place for photos that weekend.

The day was strange raining on and off. But M + J were good sports and went under the umbrella for some shots which have become my favorites. Why you ask I LOVE THEIR EXPRESSIONS! Just see for yourself.....

BAD BLOGGER!

So yes the past 2 months have been nothing but a whirl wind of events. Between my mom turning 60 at the end of June, my brother turning 28 in July, finding out I am going to be an AUNTIE and all the traveling for weddings i have some how put blogging on the back burner.

Someone should slap my hands with a ruler ha!

I have been in 3 different countries traveling:

1. July was Ireland
2. August was Greece
3. August was also Spain for a day

But now I am back in full force ready for all my fall weddings and excited as ever!

The first things first though is I catch up on the bogging so watch out for there is going to be a slew(if that is spelt right) of posts!

Karen's Getting Married!

I can't believe it! My long time friend Karen is getting married this Sunday 09/02/07! We have been friends since junior high! I feel so privileged that I get to be a bridesmaid and stand by her side on her special day! Not to mention the dress is killer and hot...well I think so.

So tonight we have the rehersal, Saturday she is taking us to the spa and sunday the big event the WEDDING!

1. I LOVE FISHING! It may seem odd to some people that know me but an old friend got me into it. It's my way to unwind and relax.

2. My friends have banned me from wearing leopard. I use to have everything leopard from swim wear to underwear! Now when I shop everytime I find something with leopard print my friends go COME ON NIK.

3. My middle name is Nicole. Thats right my full name is Nikki Nicole Rinaldi...I am named after my father who is Nicholas.

4. I have only one brother....and I will be soon an auntie in February!

5. Magic Hat #9 is my all time favorite beer

6. I love the winter, let it snow...Snowboarding is my choice of sport.

7. I was a Rhythmic Gymnast for about 12 years....I even went to the Juinor Olympics a couple of times and almost made the 96 olympic trial...but of course I got injured.

8. I have so many pairs of Puma sneakers I am not sure I need anymore. Pumas are my secret addiction that now everyone knows about!

Hello From Spain!

Well Rob and I are sitting in Madrid´s airport waiting for our plane. We found out the plane is pushed back an hour. Oh well!

But anyhow I just wanted to say I have not forgotten about uploading photos from the trip. The internet connection is so slow at the hotels we stayed at i either could not log on to post or upload anything. I will return tonight and then have Heather and Mike´s wedding tomorrow. After that I will post some stuff and write a little more to fill you in on the trip.

Everything was a blast and can´t wait to share!

And We Made It!

So we (Rob and I) just got internet connection here on Santorini and wanted to update everyone on what is going n wih Betsy & Kerstn's wedding. Rob and I landed late Thursday night about 9pm Greek time. We are about 7 hours ahead of the USA. We have been enjoying our time here scooting around the island on our hot ride as seen below.

We have been to the Santo Winery and what a view of the Caldera there is! I guess Santorini many many years ago had a volcano erupt and now the view of the main island and parts of the old island are amazing.

Anyhow we have been enjoying the sun and black beaches along with the warm water. We just finished the rehersal dinner and now gearing up for the wedding tomorrow. I am really excited for I do Greek weddings all the time at home and now I get to do one in GREECE!

I cannot wait till tomorrow! On Monday we are off to mykonos for vacation. If we get internet connection I will post more!

Okay I guess the photos have to wait for the internet connection is low and not uploading my photos bummer try tomorrow!

SUMMER & FALL HOURS

I just wanted to note my studio hours for the rest of the summer and the fall coming up.

Due to the wedding season and being out photographing weddings on the weekends office hours are:

Tuesday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm

Evening by appointment only due to alot of on location photography sessions.

As always I am available by email and if I am not in the office Megan can always assist you.
