One of my goals for 2009 is to have the chance to shoot
with more fellow photographers. I feel that what better
way to learn and continue to grow than shooting with others!

So a couple of weeks ago when Val
called me up I jumped at the chance to help her out and shoot
with her!

What a day! There was snow on the ground and an amazing feeling
in the air.

Here are a bunch of my favorites form the day!

Because I was the 2nd shooter i decided to play all day!
I pushed myself to shoot out of the box and I have to say
I am going to shoot this way all the time! Just sitting back
and taking it all in.... not rushing!

I love this shot of the bride getting ready!

So Val and I were scouting out spots for photos and we
both spotted this piano! What immediately came to both
our minds was pretty woman! You know that scene in the
bar when she is on top of the piano!

MARIA & ROMOLO: VALENTINES DAY LOVE

"9 YEARS AGO TODAY was the beginning of our courtship. We were both working at Big Y where I was a cake decorator and Romolo was "the pizza guy". We became very close and our friendship quickly turned into something more. Our first date was on Valentine's Day of 2000, and we are still inseparable!" -Maria

Meg and I had the distinct pleasure of photographing Maria & Romolo's wedding on VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!! And what a day! This wedding was filled with laughter, tears and so many emotional events! At many points of the day both Meg and I had to look at each other and wipe the tears away from our eyes! I have not my eyes filled with tears at a wedding in along time.

Our day started with Maria at the hair salon she use to work at. Chit chatting and catching up before all the chaos of the day.

We then headed over to meet up with Romolo and the guys! And little did we know we were to be greeted by 11 guys!!!! A dream!!!!!! 11 guys all looking to the 9's and bottles of liquor....what a time!

We started out having some fun with the boys.....

Then I had some Romolo time.....

After the guys we meet up with Maria and the girls...

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!

MY NIECE KENDRA TURNS ONE NEXT MONDAY......
I FEEL LIKE SHE HAS GROWN UP SO QUICK .....I FEEL LIKE HER PARENT HA!

Last week I had the chance to spend sometime with Kendra and test out
my NEW 5D Mark II before using it on a wedding!

I just love how the new 5D takes in color and lets so much more light
in....especially with my new 85mm lens!!!

Okay well Kendra is now walking holding on to things and man can
she move....

I am loving the bright colors!

I still cannot believe she is walking!

Children of this generation start with computers early...

OMG..... I HAVE BEEN IGNORING THIS LITTLE OLE BLOG!

So many things have been going on I cannot believe it!
It first starts off with a new purchase.....

that's right the new CANON 5D MARK II

Yeah Baby!!!!!!

I have not purchased a new camera in quite sometime and felt it
was time to upgrade! I am so excited about this little ole camera
for it not only takes photos but also video! I cannot wait to
try it out soon!

i also had the chance to purchase a new lens!!!!

The 85mm 1.8!!!!!!

I have been wanting a prime lens for a bit now and decided that this
one is perfect for me to start off with!

What does this mean.... sharper images!!!!!!

SOMETHIN' GOOD FOR YOU

One thing I noticed that I have NOT been doing is blogging about personal stuff!

So one of the blog resolutions for this year is to
blog more about what is going on with me!

So to start the new year off right I want to talk about my
quest for getting fit!

Now some of you may know I was a rhythmic gymnast for
about 12 years of my life starting in elementary school
all the way through freshman year of college... my ankles
and feet just got tired... to put it best.
Here is a couple of pics of what rhythmic gymnastic is...

NOT MY PHOTOS OR ME!

All those years I trained hard and never thought about eating
right or working out to stay fit. It was just like a job you
just did it.

Well 25 came and so did beer ha! And then 29 and 30 came and
so did a thyroid problem. And well the weight did too! And now
the quest to get it off has been well about a 1.5 year quest!

But the light is at the end of the tunnel! Today i reach 142!
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now the entire reason for this post is about how I got there not
just by eating right... well not all the time my wine calls me at
times and so do my hot wings at Eli's.

But I do owe it all to my trainer Merle and his gym Crossfit USA!.

You need to google crossfit to really understand it but in the few
short months I have been crossfitting I have noticed a HUGE difference
in my body shape and feel tighter so you def should try it out!

But I am so excited even more for Crossfit USA because they are now offering a BRIDAL BOOTCAMP!

It's an 6 week amazing bootcamp 3 days a week! So by the time you get
down the aisle you look tight, lean and even more amazing than you do!

Kaitlin & Denny : Winter Love

The day after christmas Meg and I met up with Kaitlin and Denny
for their winter wedding!

It was such a great time of the year for a wedding......
The crisp cool air... the smell of snow... which it did snow for
a brief moment..... the holiday lights ....ahhhhh... christmas!
Our day started out with getting ready with Kaitlin!

Now all these images are with the new 5D Mark II!
I rented it over the holiday week and can I say LOVE IT!!!
It will change the way you shoot really!

OLIVIA GRACE: BABY SWEETNESS

Right before christmas I got a text message saying.....

OLIVIA GRACE

NOVEMBER 2008

I was like huh?

My sister in-law wanted to let me know her cousin Melissa
had a baby girl! It was so exciting for (a) Kendra would
now have a cousin close to her age & (b) I would get to
photographer her! I was jumping with joy!!!!!!

MEET: OLIVIA GRACE
BORN: NOVEMBER 2008

So 2 days after christmas I got to meet up with Cliff, Melissa and Olivia!

See they live in Long Island and home only for a limited time.
This shoot was extra special not only cause Olivia was 6 weeks old
but I had rented the new 5D Mark II!

And all I can say about this camera is OH MY FRIGGIN GOSH!!!

It feels like just yesterday she came to work with me and was 19!

Over the past 2 years Meg has gone from being my office girl
to my now 2nd shooter! Boy I have been really lucky!!!!

Bernadette & Danny: love in the snow

The night before B & D's engagement session we had the first BIG snow storm of December!

But being a New Englander and all the next day I got in Rob's SUV
and trucked it down to SoNo!

Almost 3 hours later due to traffic for no reason I arrived!

I started by the docks with B & D!

I just love the buildings and the textures all around there!

This one is my fav of the day!

JESSICA & CJ : FREEZING COLD LOVE!

"It was the summer of '94 and we were both working at
Tunxis Plantation (golf course). The following summer,95,
2 weeks before I was leaving for college, I told CJ I had
a crush on him. He asked me if I wanted a ride on his golf
cart..... 7 years later we are here." -Jessica

ENGAGED: JESSICA & CJ

So right after I got home from England in November Meg and I
had the privilege of meeting up with Jessica & CJ and get to
know them a bit better before their wedding in May! Of course
it had to be the windiest and cold day in December!

We had decided to have their day in Hartford.... seeming they live, work
and eat in the city it was perfect!

We started out walking around Bushnell Park. I have to say I have
photographed many many times in this city and everytime it
amazes me. I turn around a corner and there is always something
different.

So we are all walking around and CJ talks about his favorite
street in Hartford. So we walk down it and find these really cool
old front porches and alleys.

We were walking around towards a place to warm up and I was like STOP!!!!

GO IN THERE! LIGHTING YES LOVE IT!

Then Meg was laughing at herself.
I noticed she was taking photos in something so I said lets get one
together! Just having some fun!

After warming up a bit we headed towards the lights on Constitution
Plaza!

It was cold thanks guys for braving it!

We wrapped up the night at Jessica & CJ's Place.

Getting all cozy in the stair wells and with some wine!

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY BRYNN!

Another cutie I have been following all year is Brynn!

Brynn turned 1 in December right before I turned 31 ha!

I have known Brynn's mom for years and I am always SO EXCITED
when people I know hire me for their kids!

When I arrived at Brynn's she was in the cutest pajamas ever!

And I could not believe it! She was almost walking!

So then I got her to sit down for a bit by the tree!

I have to say I am in love with photographing in front of the
christmas tree. The lights oh the lights! Then add a reflector oh!

Here are a bunch to prove it!

Then Brynn decide it was time for a clothing change and walk/stand for a bit!

Lastly it would not be a birthday session unless you are in your
birthday suit!

A COLD AFTERNOON WITH SPENCER

Another little boy I have had the pleasure of following grow up
is Spencer!

Spencer is 18 months now and I have seen him since he was 3 months!

Right before Christmas I meet Spencer and his mom at one of my FAVORITE
places to photograph..... the Wethersfield Cove.

It was a VERY cold and breezy day but Spencer did not seem to mind!

I love the look he is giving me!

Then Spencer was getting cold so we put his amazing hat on him!

I have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE children photography! There is just something about catching that moment or age in time.

I have had the chance for 3 no 4 years of capturing his expressions.
When I first got to D's house all he wanted to do is play with trains!
So that is what we did!

After that when he got tired we talked a bit!

I have been wanting to talk about C10 Tuesdays for awhile now!

I had the BEST experience in October. I had the pleasure of attending Carla Ten Eyck's C10 TUESDAYS
workshop.

If you are EVER thinking or looking for a 1-on-1 type workshop this is it!

Carla takes a limited number of photographers and has an all day intensive workshop.
You go over alot of basics and it gets you thinking. She makes you think about
why you are a photographer and why you shoot the way you shoot. I also love the fact
that Carla makes you shoot with a lens you never usually use and explain why you are shooting the way you are. It is such an awesome workshop I highly reccomend it!

We had Ms Val and her husband Jack as our amazing models!

We started off at a rail yard but that did not last long as the po-pos came along!

Then after we headed to another location. Carla talked about intimate portraits and
that you can take a great portrait anytime anyplace ... as seen here!

I also had the pleasure of meeting 2 amazing other photographer Ms Katie Slater and Ms Sarah MCcoy!

Well it is that time of the year again when stockings are hung by the
fireplace and children stay up all night hoping to see santa and his
8 tiny reindeer.

When family traditions come together and presents are exchanged. Wine
is flowing and you can see food for tables and tables.

That's right it is CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

I have been wanting to shoot with Carla for awhile now and I finally got to on October 18th!

Yeah yeah I know it was awhile back but I am just catching up on blogging!

I think one of the best things you can do as a photographer is to second shoot or even be a
guest photographer on someone else's wedding!

I had that chance back in October. I had the pleasure of accompanying Carla and Mike on a wedding! I learned so much and had so much fun!

i am always looking for new creative ways to shoot the wedding dress.
Sometimes I get very stumped when in a hotel but not after shooting
with carla. She got me all inspired and gave me alternative ideas!

I love these 2 shots.

The first one of the bride Mallory is just so calm

Mike and Carla are the kings of siluottes and they inspired me to see group shots
differently.

These next 3 are amazing to me.
I am amazed how I caught so much emotion between the bride and her father
right before they go down the asile

Now the sun was going down and Carla totally
threw me under the bus by surprise.
All of a sudden she was like Nikki the bride!

I have know Marissa and Mark for many years from high school.

Recently I got to reconnect with them at a wedding over the summer.

Recently i got a phone call from Marissa all excited. The bride got her family

a gift certificate and now I have a chance to do their family photo.

We started our day at one of my favorite spots. The Rocky Hill Ferry. I love

shooting here. The train tracks, the greenery and so much to explore.

I started off shooting the kids Juliana and Dominick.

GOING APE : OR BANANAS!

Rob and I had our first offical adventure here in England.
Sunday AM Gaz and Aveen woke us up and we headed towards
the Delmare Forrest. The day started a bit chilly but sunny....sun
here is very rare this time of year.We walked into the forest and went Ape
at Go Ape! which is a high wire forest
adaventure.!

Here Gaz, Aveen and Rob are getting ready to go ape!

There are many obstacles up in the trees to get through and at the end of each obstacle
was a zip line! SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!

DUring the day the weather was touch and go..... windy rainy and then a rainbow!

After about 3 hours we did it and completed the course!

MS MISSY: AMAZING ASSOCIATE

They became friends and hung out all the time. She even asked him to help
write a paper on the cold war. They laughed, they cried, they partied!

Meg and I started our day at Gampel on the Uconn campus. It was slightly raining so it was
a good place to start and warm up.

Ryan kept Laurie laughing and brought out her smiles!

That's right Kim and Pete are High School sweethearts! And now they are getting ready to tie the knot
and make it official! But not until July 2009........

So........... what better way to end 2008 than to photograph their getting to know you session.
When talking to Kim on the phone I was asking her all kinds of question on what they like to do.
The WALA, BAM, POOF the idea finally struck!

Back to high school where they met! And get this Pete is the football coach there too!

What a perfect spot!

We meet on a beautiful Saturday morning and started out on the playground next to high school.
Come to find out if was at the elementary school Pete went to! C'mon!

I met Kaitlin just a couple of months ago as she came through the doors and said... I getting married the day after Christmas! We instantly connected and I got so excited! Her passion for life and for Denny just lit up her eyes!

Kaitlin & Denny's other love is Cassidy!......... their beloved pug!

We started our shoot out at the Wethersfield Cove. This really is a perfect spot for an engagement session. There is so much to walk around and see! The weather was perfect!

We walked around letting Cassidy get comfortable.

So as we walked around I found the amazing patch of light and of course we stopped.

Jenn and Brian are 2 peas in a pod. Just looking at them when they talk to each other you see
the sparks flying between them. I originally met Jenn a couple of years back when her IDENTICAL
twin sister Christin got married. Now it is Jenn's turn and could not be more excited to be a part
of Brian and her day!

We all met up in New Haven and started at the green!

The colors were so vivid that day and the weather was perfect!

TARA & AARON : MARRIED

It all started on a little snowy mountain called Stratton. He was a snowboard instructor and she was there to ride and have fun with the girls. Their two worlds collided and nothing has been the same since.

Tara & Aaron have had a wind whirl of events happen to them over the past couple of years..... from meeting and rideing together to having the most adorable, precious daughter Skyler!

Rainy in the Am but by 4pm the most beautiful October day! Sunny and clear skies! Cool but warm!

Megan and I started out our day with Tara. She was in such good spirits and all I kept doing was reassuring her that the rain will clear!

We entered Tara's house and was greeted by the cutest little dog....

As I was shooting her details Snoop decided he wanted to part of all the festivies.
He was so curious about all that was going on.

I LOVE seeing my clients grow up!

Olivia just turned 1 this March and her mom Kelly gave me a call to say hey, it's time for a christmas card shoot!

What perfect time since Olivia just turned 18 months!

This year we decided to go to Lyman Orchards and hit up the pumpkin patch and the apple orchards!

We first started off in the orchards.....

*note it is much easier for an 18 month old to walk down an orchard path then through the pumpkin patch*

Where do I start?

How Julie & Hayden are so cute together you just want to scream LOVE!!!!!!!

Or how the meet in Newport and decided to pledge their love for each other in Newport by the sea.

Or how about we talk about the rainiest day of the year at the most perfect location.

Julie & Hayden had the best spirits about their wedding day. They planned their wedding at an amazing venue called the Eisenhower House in Fort Adams in Newport. Of course the most amazing venue and the rainiest day of the year yet! September 27th to be exact!

When Meg and I arrived we were so excited about this venue. The big old front porch, the amazingly lit 3 seasons porch, and how about the staircase oh my gosh!!!!! I am getting all fluttered with joy talking about this venue again. My photography senses are all excited and stimulated again ha!

Despite the weather Julie was all smiles and excited!

Julie is a simple girl. Everything about her wedding was very classic and simple.

Starting with her shoes. See She originally had these amazing heels but then we were talking and
found out she was having a lawn ceremony. So after a short discussion about thin heels and the
lawn she changed her mind. And instead had the cutest flip flops!

So here is my take on the shoes........

Then there was this amazing stair case and we carefully got the dress......

Farrah & Matt are as cute as can be!

They keep each other laughing and smiling all day!

I meet Farrah and Matt back last spring when we did their engagement session. We had such a blast and they laughed the entire time! I just knew their wedding day would be full of fun!

One thing we cannot do as photographers is control the weather. I wish we could then all our brides would have the most perfect 70 degree, sunny weather! But unfortunately we do not have control and it rained! That's right it rained, then sprinkled and then rained. But Farrah and Matt kept up high spirits.

So Meg and I started out with Farrah and the girls getting ready!

THE RIGANO'S: FAMILY BEACH FUN!

Family portraits are so important!

I look back at when I was growing up and noticed my parents have lots of photos of me and my brother but not any of the family. So for the past 2 years I have been on my cousin Brenda's case about doing a family photo!

So finally I convinced her and off to the beach we went! Brenda and Joey have 4 girls! That's right 4 girls!

Meet: The Rigano Girls

Gabbey is the oldest of the 4 being 5 years old!

Bri is 4 and loves to smile!

My friend Joey, from Dinunzio fine art & illustration is having an art opening this weekend! I have been friends with Joey since high school. He is an amazing artist and has a very unique eye for illustration. I actually have drawings from high school still around in a box somewhere!

I cannot stop laughing and getting all giddy inside as I go through Marcey & Jay's wedding!

I met Marcey about 2 years ago when her sister Val was looking for a photographer! Val got
married last October and I met a new brides Marcey! What a better bride than a sister of a past bride!
So over the past couple of years Meg and I have had the pleasure of getting to know two incredible girls!

Okay so last October was Val's wedding and this September was Marcey's turn to get MARRIED!!!!!

Meg and I started out our day with the boys! We arrived at Jay and Marcey's house to find the boys
hanging out and getting ready!

These boys were such a great bunch and totally so much fun to photograph!

Let's start with Jay!
I was hanging out doing my thing when he stepped into the bathroom! AHHHHHH I said....
stop and hang out Jay I LOVE the LIGHT!

Also getting ready was Jay's nephew! He was too darn cute! I could not stop photographing him!

Because of the time of the ceremony we did the guys ahead of time!

The party went on through out the night with entertainment for the JK Band!
They were amazing!

KENDRA MARIE: TURNS 6 MONTHS!

This little girl really has my heart! Every time I see her

So now 3 months later Kendra is sitting up, laughing, giving kisses,

CROSSFIT USA : WHAT A WORKOUT!

I have not blogged anything in awhile I noticed about what i have been up to!

Almost 1 year ago I joined a new gym and got on this quest of losing weight and having hopes of becoming the next oxygen magazine cover girl! In these hopes and dreams (that's right more like dreams) I meet Merle!

This is a candid shot of Merle!

Merle was a personal trainer at my gym I currently go to and we hit it off from the start. He put up with all my complaining about one more rep in weight lifting to my cry about not losing weight. I do have to say he is an AMAZING trainer!

So in the past year I have been training with him and now Merle has opened his own variation of a gym called CROSSFIT USA. Crossfit is a national way of getting fit. It is not your conventional go on the treadmill and do a 100 reps of the same weight lift type of training. It is more of strength fitness with a cardio workout. Here is a sample warm up that you do when training with Merle.

Warm up:
500 meter row on the row machine
3 sets of 10 squats
3 sets of 10 push ups, sit ups and pull ups
another 500 meter row!

That's just the warm up!

Then your actual workout is intense!

I have had the pleasure of traing with Merle the past couple of weeks and I LOVE IT!
If you love to lift weights but getting bored at the gym this is surely the cure! And the best part is it is not a membership gym it is a pay as you go type of place!

Anyhow last week I had the pleasure of shooting some photos for Merle of the place check it out!

I am telling you this type of workout is like no other!

I first meet Michele & Ashley almost 2 years ago!

I can remember talking to them about their wedding day and the up coming events.
Boy does 2 years fly by!

I knew from the begining how much Ashley and Michele loved each other. All the trials and tribulations
they have gone through for their love. I knew they were both full of life,love and excitement!

Meg and I started off our day with the boys!
When we arrived Ash was all full of smiles and just could not wait to see his bride Michele.
I thought it was so cute that Ash had a sponge bob band aid on!

The it was off to see Michele and the girls!
Michele's dress was amazing and fit her so perfect!

One of the groomsmen came with a rose and a card from Ash.

Park more buggier! Thanks Michele and Ashley for dealing with the bugs.....it was YUCK!
But well worth it!

Last fall when she got married Karen mentioned getting in her dress again and having an after shoot.

Here is the thing... Karen is a very good friend and I was in her wedding! So by her doing this it was really

We had so much fun!

I love to shoot at Hamonassett Beach! There are so many great little nooks to shoot in!
My favorite spot is by the rocks!

JULIE & HAYDEN : ENGAGED LOVE

Julie and Hayden are such an adorable couple I do not know where to start.

Julie and Hayden meet through mutual friends in Newport, RI. Their friendship turned into love!

Both of them live in boston but the wedding in just a couple of weeks is in Newport!!!!!

Meg and I drove up a couple of weeks ago to Charlestown, Ma to meet Julie and Hayden.
Before the engagement Julie and I have just exchanged emails and phone calls.... soooo
i was super excited to finally meet the two of them!

We started at the navy ship yard... right down the street from their home.
Meg totally pulled this on off! I love the compostion and the expressions she caught!

I realized while photographing the two of them that when you disappear and hide
Hayden and Julie become so intimate!

After the ship yard we poked around and found this beautiful
shaded, grassy spot.

I love this shot Meg caught! They are just so relaxed!

We found this awesome spot that you could see Boston in the background!

On our way out there were all these anchors of different sizes to play on!

This shot is one of my favorites of the day!

STEPHANIE & NICK : MILITARY LOVE

Back in the spring Megan and I went down to the shore for Steph and Nick's engagement session. It was after that session we knew we would be in for a real treat on the wedding day!

So patiently we wait all summer until 08.1608!!!!!!

The day final came and the two of us were giddy all inside.

Steph and Nick have been together for many years ..... through him going to war and living long distances... they have truly tested their love for each other!

The day started out with Steph at her parents house. I love this one I caught of her getting ready! It reminds me of an oldie:

Just thinking of the ceremony gets me all teary eyed. First the church they got married in Steph's parent also got married in.

Then there was one part of the ceremony where the priest read letters that both Steph and Nick had written about each other... and about their love for each other. He had read Nicks first and both Meg and I had the water works going. It was so kind and loving I cannot even begin to tell you! Steph you are surely a lucky girl!

And now WE ARE MARRIED!!!!

Since Meg and I had done their engagement session earlier in the spring we knew photos would be a cinch!

I don't know how many times I need to repeat myself in saying I LOVE MY JOB!!!!!!

When I initially meet with a bride I have HIGH, .... HIGH
hopes that I will not only be their wedding day photographer but also their photographer for life!

In this case it is true.

Meet: Mark, Anne and little Will

I meet Mark and Anne in 2005. We hit it off initially and then their wedding came. After the wedding
we lost touch until Will came! Anne gave me a call and said "Hey we have a son Will now and would
LOVE you to photograph him!" Of course I was soooooo excited! I just could not wait to see Mark,
Anne and now meet Will!

Sharon & Dave are just so sweet together!

Dave is a local volunteer firefighter and came to us about Sharon and his wedding. I was just so excited!!!

Once we met and hearing about their day I was truly moved.

The big wedding took place 08.15.08 at The Pavilion On Crystal Lake.
That day was a scary one....why you ask???? Well the weather called for thunder showers in the afternoon and we just about missed them. The weather held out for such an emotional and sweet ceremony.... got through some groups and some shots with the two of them ....and then...... the rain came down.... I mean poured!!!!!!!

but hey at least we got most of our photos!

Instead of lighting a unity candle Sharon and Dave wanted to do something different to make sure both all their kids knew they were important to them and now a big family. So they did a sand pouring ceremony:

KICKBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right kickball has officially come to a season's end and last night we played in the playoff's. It was such a close game with the team we were playing . Letting them only score 1 run!!!!!! That's pretty good seeming that they always cream all the other teams. This was our first year being a kickball team and coming in 2nd we are all very proud of our little team!

I am even more excited because we started our season so late we automatically qualify for NATIONALS next year!!!!!!!

Twice a year my godmother's daughter Marybeth comes home from Wisconsin to visit and one visit is always during the summer!

EMILY & WESTON GOT MARRIED ON WHAT HAS BEEN ONE OF THE ODDEST DAYS ALL YEAR YET!

WHEN TALKING TO EM during the week I told her:

No worries Em it can't rain....no it won't rain!

Why because they were having their ceremony outside!

So when I woke up that Saturday morning and saw rain in the forcast my heart dropped..

but I was still determined it would not rain...go figure!

So as Meg and I were driving up to Wolcott it was pouring not just raining pouring....

you know that rain that comes down so hard you can barely see while driving pouring.....

but i was still determined it would stop... and what happened it stopped and the sun came out for about an hour.
But who cares they got married outside and photos check!

I was soooooo happy everything worked out!

Now this wedding was special too...not only was Em a bridesmaid in one of my weddings last year but Wes and I went
to school together... high school that is. So it was fun bumping into a bunch of people I have not seen in a long time!

Anyhow enough blabbing the day was awesome and we had sooooo much fun!

Brynn has just turned 6 months and I have been having the pleasure of following

This wedding is the wedding I have been waiting for, for a long time.

Why you ask???

Well you might remember last summer I got to photograph Voula & Jon at Mystic Seaport. From that shot
they have become very close to me. Voula and Jon are the sweetest couple you will meet. So caring, concerning and
their love for each other shows so much. There have been many times Voula has just called to say. They are not
just my bridal couple but now friend too!

That's why this wedding is so important... I sniffled and teared up as the day kept going on.

Now these two are such a HOT couple! Not only are they hot but they have amazing personalities!

Datura again making amazing center pieces! So delicate and beautiful!

About a month ago Missy shot Mary Kate and Paul's wedding.
The day after their wedding Missy was so giddy and excited she just had to call me and tell me all about it!
She was telling my on the phone that she had so much fun and how cute Mary Kate and Paul were. I just could not wait

So last week I joined about 27 other photographers up in the Berkshire Mts. for some r&r and a retreat.

The only seminar we had was given by Justin & Mary about goal setting.
We had to make a list of 101 things to do in 1001 days! Then Mary wanted us to blog about one of the things we wrote
down and complete it!

Well I just did #23 : GET A NEW IMAC

That's right Meg and I have been sharing the same Mac Pro to edit and now that we are in full wedding season the 1 computer is not cutting it. Nor is the old G4 or the G4 Laptop. So after much hunting around I have a pretty new imac coming my way!

YEAH!!!!!!!!

Now I too can edit quicker!!!!!!

LAURA & MIKE : FOREVER IN LOVE

Where do I start on this post???

Maybe with the heat wave that came through......

the 98 degree weather.......

or how the humidity was super sticky!

Thats right I had the pleasure of photographing Laura & Mike's wedding on July 18th on what has been the hottest,
stickiest day of the wedding season yet!!!!!!!

The day started off so relaxed as Laura was getting ready. Laura was shining with a smile ear to ear and so excited
to be marrying Mike on this day!

Her dress was simply amazing! Lace head to toe but so elegant. She even completed the look with her mother's veil
from her wedding day! It just added the right touch!

Laura also had the cutest flower girl and ring bearer. These little tikes are
very special to Laura. And guess what the little tikes Mom I went to high school with! It is always fun catching up!

Susan called me a couple of weeks ago asking about newborn photos. When I told her about my on location service she was sooooooo excited and hit me up for a date.

Little did I know when i got to the house Susan had an idea all of her own. As soon as I entered she started to laugh as I see her pull out an old magazine of Brooke Shields. I started to crack up and all Susan said was "Do you think we can try this? Can I be Brooke Shields?"

Last weekend was a whirlwind of events with everything from weddings to engagements and portraits in between.

I think this engagement session has been one of my favorites yet this year!

I met Kristen through a friend of mine Lissa last October at the photo expo in NYC. At that time Kristin was in the process of moving to Rhode Island and had mentioned that she was a photographer herself! Little did I know about 8 months later she would be calling me about her wedding to Brian! How exciting! I always feel the greatest compliment you could get is another photographer hiring you for their wedding!

So I met with Kristen and Brian and was super excited about their wedding. First off it is at an amazing mansion in Bristol, RI. The Blithewold Mansion! It is right on the water, with amazing gardens and a spectacular sunset view! And the Mansion itself is amazing! I cannot wait til next July!!!!

Okay off track a bit!

So last Saturday afternoon Meg and I hopped into the car and headed towards Newport to the Greenvale Winery! This winery is very small but the people who work there are amazing! They are so nice and told us to do whatever we want to! My head started to spin! WHATEVER WE WANT TO DO YEAH BABY!!!!!

Last Saturday Meg & I had an amazing wedding with Jenny & Rob!

The day was by far the hottest wedding to date, but everyone was in amazing spirits despite the heat!

This wedding was extra special to shoot!

See Jen's older brother Jimmy is a good friends with Rob. So by doing this wedding I now feel part of Jenny's family!

I do have to say Jenny looked absoultely amazing! I love her expressions!

Gaz and Aveen came to visit and with being out for almost 2 weeks I have been swamped on playing catch-up!
